I co-taught several courses (detailed below) both at undergraduate and graduate levels at Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Bangladesh. I also served as a casual academic, instructing the ‘Invertebrate Biology‘ course to undergraduate students at Western Sydney University, Australia.
Undergraduate Courses Co-taught at BAU
Fundamentals of Entomology (ENTOM 2201 & 2202 -Theory & Practical): This introductory course focuses on all essential concepts of entomology, encompassing insect morphology, taxonomy, physiology, neurobiology and reproduction.
Insect Ecology and Pest Management (ENTOM 3201 & 3202 – Theory & Practical): This course offers an overview of the key concepts and theories in insect ecology and outlines the principles and practices in sustainble pest management.
Economic Entomology (ENTOM 4101& 4102 – Theory & Practical): This course covers the bioecology and management of insect pests critical to agricultural and horticultural production across South Asia.
Graduate Courses Co-taught at BAU
Insecticide Toxicology (ENTOM 521): This course focuses on the mode of actions and metabolism of different insecticide groups, the mechanisms behind and management strategies for insecticide resistance and the analytical methods for assessing insecticide residues.
Insect Pathology (ENTOM 513): This course provides a comprehensive introduction to insect pathology and its practical applications, including the study of insect diseases, the physiopathology of entomopathogens, insect immunity, microbial pesticides, and genetically engineered pathogens.
